Comparison of prices: CVS, Walgreens and Walmart, The Coupon Challenge Day 12

On the Coupon Challenge Day 9 post, I went to CVS and used their circular and incentives to shop. Here is what I purchased.

These were all items that were mentioned in their circular with a discount of some kind.

The items;

  • POISE 10 ct $2.49, 2.33 with 3 or more. I had a coupon for $1 off
  • Kotex 18 ct reg $5.29 sale 2 for $7, plus I had a coupon

So, what does this teach us?

If you are going to use regular non-store coupons with no added store incentives, Walmart is going to save you the most money. If you use store incentives and coupons, for this specific week, CVS does give the deal.

*Did you notice the higher price on the item with the bonus? It was interestingly placed in a different location from the other similar items. Make a note of this for the next time you see something offered with a ‘bonus’.
