27 Scrumptious Avocado Recipes
I can put avocados in just about every recipe that I make.
Well, just about every recipe anyway.
I love that avocados can be eaten as is or as part of a recipe.
Adding an avocado to a salad really can make that salad taste so much better.
Avocados are also really good in a smoothie if you ask me.
Perhaps my favorite way to enjoy an avocado is in guacamole.
Guacamole is so easy to make.
There really are not a lot of ingredients that are needed to make guacamole. Guacamole can be eaten alone, as a dip, or even as a spread. Have you ever used guacamole in a sandwich? Instead of mayonnaise or other similar spread, try some guacamole in your next sandwich and you may be pleasantly surprised at how good it can be.
Here is a simple recipe for guacamole
A Really Easy Guacamole Recipe
A really easy and enjoyable to eat guacamole recipe
1 avocado, preferably somewhat soft.
1 Roma tomato
1 Garlic Clove chopped small
A squirt of lemon juice
Cilantro chopped,if available
1 tablespoon chopped onion (a bit more is if you are a fan of onions)
optional: a couple of jolts of hot sauce, as my son would say.
HOW TO MAKE THIS
It is easiest to cut your avocado in half, remove the pit, and then scoop out the good stuff. You can also peel the avocado and then slice it up, removing the pit as you go.
Chop up the avocado into the size chunks that you prefer- some people prefer it chunky while others like it mashed. I will eat it either way.
Add a squirt or even two of lemon juice as this is what will help to preserve the green color.
Gently stir in your remaining ingredients
Refrigerate prior to serving.
I don’t think that I need to tell you how to enjoy these 🙂
